Experimental Determination of the Flow Coefficient for a Constrictor Nozzle with a Critical Outflow of Gas

Reduction of energy expenditures required for various technological processes is a pressing issue in today’s economy. One the ways to solve this regard liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage recovery its vapours from LNG tanks using an ejector system. In that respect, studies on outflow real through nozzle, main element ejector, and identifying differences ideal outflow, are high relevance. Particularly, concerns determination discharge coefficient µ as ratio actual flowrate one, taking into account losses at nozzle. The values determined date nozzle geometries are, rule, evaluated empirically contradictory some cases. authors suggest determining by means experiment. This paper includes method critical air atmosphere constrictor nozzles with different outlet diameters (0.003 m; 0.004 0.005 m) pressure range inlet 0.5–0.9 MPa. obtained results may be used design system boil-off tanks, well other fields industry, technical experimental devices applications.
